Boss used for Immersion Heaters. Usually made from Brass or Stainless Steel, occasionally Mild Steel. Usually with BSP threads. Can also be supplied with Metric or NPT threads. Can be Hexagonal, Octagonal or round profile to aid securing. Commonly referred to as a head.
